A personal portrait, used Julian Opie's simplistic illustration technique as inspiration; however I deployed my own elements of realism
approach
I implemented elements of subtle realism to the piece, as I focussed on my subjects primary features (hair) and softened edges to mimic that feature. Additionally, I used a blend of colours & gradients, to create a seamless blend and immitate shadows in the piece.
